OCR: The Sun and the Moon Lake The Sun and the Moon Lake of central Taiwan, 36 square kilometers in size, is the biggest natural lake in the province. The site of the lake is a basin between Yushan moun- tain and Ali mountain. The lake is bisected by an isle in the center. It is so named because the northern part of the lake resembles the shape of the sun while the southern part the shape of the moon.
